The End of the World Dance Party has been throwing sporadic parties at houses, warehouses, and nightclubs since 2008 under the tagline “lets dance in the fire while the world burns around us”.

Each party follows a different theme related to the apocalypse. Neon Apocalypse refers to the gleeful consumption we all partake in the products that are killing us, and is both parts condemnation and celebration. We’re dying, it’s all our fault, but we’re over the rails and we’re not gonna stop it so we might as well enjoy ourselves.

Like X-Ray Spex said, this is “The Day the World Turned DayGlo”, and we’re following a similar approach with the music: electro, post punk, and new wave. Synthesizers and beat machines. Bands, DJs, and burlesque.
