Former intensely-awesome loft party theater venue and currently intensely-awesome roving theater collective The Inconvenience put together one of the best benefits I’ve ever been to in The Fly Honey Show, an old school burlesque cabaret that was less about face-value titillation and more about just truly great performances. The Fly Honeys (and their male counterparts The Fly Homies) are just a bunch of truly talented singers, dancers, musicians, bands, comedians, puppeteers, and allied performers who just happened to be in their underwear. Or less. There were shaddow puppets and tangos and sixties bossa nova girls-in-the-garage-style punk pop. It was magical. In addition to The Fly Honey Show, the night ended in a dance party with toons by DJ Swaguerilla.
