Peanut Butter Jenny’s birthday at the Mutiny

Posted on August 15th, 2010 by admin

I never ever thought I’d get to do a photobooth at The Mutiny, which is a shame because it’s one of my favorite bars ever, and the one I go to for important events. I spent my 21st birthday there watching Mike the Midget’s band open up for my friends One Last Walk, I watched the White Sox win the world series before a KK Rampage show, and there was no music, save for the occasional selection on the jukebox on the somber night George W. Bush won his reelection. On a brighter note, I’ve seen a fair share of unicorns there: first on a flu ridden Halloween show where art-cabaret weirdos The Walkie Talkies, opening for Indian Jewelry, vivisected a stuffed unicorn, tossing entrails of fake blood and dollar store candy all over the room. The second was tonight, where a unicorn in a bikini jumped out of a (cardboard) cake and did a striptease for the birthday girl, fullfilling the flyer’s claims of something jumping out of a cake.
