Mad Decent Block Party
Posted on August 22nd, 2010 by admin
Mad Decent throws a block party every year. The Hideout (inarguably one of Chicago’s top 5 best bars) throws a block party every year… so when Diplo announced that the Mad Decent block party was expanding outside of Philly, it only made sense that they would merge the two.
The show featured an (over)abundance of air horns, all sorts of swag from Mad Decent and Diesel, a dunk tank with the Dirty Diamonds serving as both the barkers and the shit-talking bait, performances by Po Po, Maluca, Paul Devro, Blaqstarr, Bosco Delray, along with local heads Freddie Gibbs, Kid Sister, Ghetto Division, Willy Joy (who pulled double duty as Kid Sister’s hype man and DJ), and DJ Rashad who brought footworking crew the Take Ova Gang onstage to show the people how it’s done.
