Lollapalooza Day Two

Posted on August 8th, 2009 by admin

Day Two of Lollapalooza. The weather pulled a complete 180, so instead of shivering in a t-shirt in the cold rain, I was rocking a button-down and tie in the 90 degree heat. Either way, it was a good day, that ended with on a heavy/spiritual vibe with Animal Collective and then Tool. The surprise of the day was Miike Snow. I heard that they were the playing an afterparty with Lykke Li last night, but before that I hadn’t really caught wind of them. They’re awesome. Once we’re done with the fest, I’m gonna go track down a copy of their self-titled album. Atmosphere played way too early in the day, but Slug knocked it out of the park.

I got to do some exploring today, and I was surprised to see that there are photobooths EVERYWHERE! There’s one in the artist’s tent, there’s at least one on the main grounds, and there’s us holdin it down in the Lolla Lounge South, but there isn’t anything in the Lolla Lounge North, which is a shame because that’s where a lot of the party heads (Diplo, Santigold, MSTRKRFT, Yeah Yeah Yeahs) are playing.

Much love today goes out to Meagan Fredette for being our special guest photographer, and to Menace from Novem Studios, who designed the backdrop, and took a lot of time away from his girlfriend’s short weekend in town to help us man the booth.

If you’re looking at this site with your kids, you might want to preview any other galleries if you decide to look at them. We photograph a wide variety of events and not all of our pictures are appropriate for young eyes.
