Black and Brown Punk Show: Southside Edition
Posted on August 26th, 2012 by admin
Turn of the century churches were not made to hold hardcore punk shows. The acoustics are great, but goddamn, did that place trap heat and humidity. Not that everyone wasn’t gonna get sweaty anyway, but still, damn. The second day of this year’s Black and Brown Punk Show stuck to the basics. Quick songs, the occasional political rant that could have been a little quicker, loud guitars, and lots of screaming (with maybe a little bit of rap, and at least one harmonica). New York’s Huasipungo, Texas’ Colonia, and LA’s Cihuatl Ce performed alongside our own La Armada, Mandatory Abortions, Tras De Nada, and more.
