The Chicago Toy and Game Fair’s first fashion show, PlayCHIC, was a runway event that had local designers Nade Baer, Mariam Cecilia, Edla De La Rosa, and Gibeon Tolbert developing mens, women’s, and children’s fashions based on dolls, games, and classic comic strips including Settlers of Catan, Moshi Monsters, Brenda Star, Annie (of “Lil Orphan” fame), Word Winder, and Pony Royale.
