Valentine’s Day was dance party central this year. VHS or Beta and The Bang Gang Deejays were in town, and Flosstradamus was holding their annual FlosstraPROMus party. The goths and tweakers had a circuit bending show at 1901 Gallery, and the glamorqueer kids had what looked like a super-fun show at Ball Hall. Fukc VD was the afterparty for damn near ALL these shows, with most of those big names rumored as specal guests and…to be honest, from my spot sequestered away from the main room, I have no idea if they did or not (as is the party portraitist’s lot in life).
The cats from Members Only threw this party in conjunction with Chicago Suicide Club at a rehabbed warehouse space called Xchange on the near west side. Dark Wave Disco, Derek Specs, Kha, Mikul Wing, Heaven Malone, Livewire, and La Dolce Vita all took turns on the decks with Rayaline providing the visuals.
